About Kate
Kate is a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist from Tampa, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida in 2020 studying Pre-Med with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis, and is currently in her Master of Science program studying Psychology. During her undergraduate and graduate college years, Kate has continued to train both horses and riders in the discipline of dressage. Kate has trained under her coach, Bobbie Gutman, for over 10 years.
Kate's specialty is working with ponies and small horses, and she is thankful to her first pony, Watson, for helping open this amazing niche into her life. Standing at 5 feet tall and weighing about 93 lbs, Kate is the perfect size to ride and train ponies. Kate is also a very kid-friendly trainer and has experience teaching riders from age 5 up through adulthood.
Kate's most recent personal project, Dearly Delightful PD (Delilah), is a
paint x arabian filly that was rescued in January of 2021. She had very little handling, so Kate had to completely start every aspect of Delilah's training, from picking up feet, to eventually riding under saddle. Delilah is now a year under saddle and is proving to be Kate's next FEI prospect.
